Who you are dealing with
Fraze is made by Inkvi LLC. By downloading, installing, or using Fraze, or by creating a Fraze account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The app
We license Fraze to you to install and run on computers you own or control. You may not resell it, reverse engineer it to build a competing product, or use it to process audio you do not have the right to record. We may update the app to fix bugs, add features, or change how it works.
Your account
Fraze requires a free account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for what happens under your account. You must be able to form a binding contract to create one.
Minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher, to create a Fraze account.
Plans and billing
Every account gets a free trial of the first 30 minutes of transcription. After that, Fraze offers a one-time lifetime purchase and a monthly subscription; current prices are on the pricing page and exclude tax. Purchases are handled by RevenueCat and Stripe; Stripe, through Link, is the merchant of record and the seller on your receipt, and it calculates and remits any tax due. The monthly plan renews automatically until you cancel from the account page; canceling stops future charges but does not refund the current period. See the refund policy for refunds.
Third-party components
Fraze bundles open-source software and machine learning models made by others; see acknowledgements for the list and their licenses.
What Fraze does and does not do
Fraze shows live captions and, when you choose a target language, a live translation underneath. It does not summarize, read text aloud, or label who is speaking. Speech and translation run on your device; the app does not send audio or transcript text anywhere.
No warranty
Fraze is provided "as is." Speech recognition and translation are not perfect, and we do not promise the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose, including situations where mistranscription could cause harm. Do not rely on Fraze for safety-critical or legal-critical communication.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Inkvi LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Fraze. Our total liability for any claim is limited to whichever is greater: the amount you paid us for Fraze, or USD 30.
Ending your account
You can stop using Fraze and delete your account at any time from the app or the account page. We may suspend or end an account that abuses the service or violates these terms.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Fraze after a change means you accept it.
