Free to try, then pick how you pay.

Every account gets 30 minutes of live captions and translation free, no card required. After that, buy Fraze once or pay monthly. Either way it is the same on-device app: no minute packs, no hidden tiers, and no cloud engine to pay for. Listed prices exclude tax; Stripe calculates and collects it at checkout, based on where you are buying from.

Questions about pricing

What counts against the free 30 minutes?

Time spent actively transcribing or translating. Nothing else counts, and there is no card required to start.

What does "unlimited" mean on the paid plans?

No cap on hours, ever, on either paid plan. There are no minute packs and no metered add-ons.

Do paid plans work offline?

Yes. Transcription and translation always run on-device. The lifetime plan keeps working offline forever once it has been activated once. The monthly plan keeps working offline for up to 30 days between plan checks, or until the month you paid for runs out, then needs a brief reconnect.

Why does a one-time app have a subscription option?

Some people would rather pay $2.99 a month than $29.99 up front, so both are on offer. If a subscription does not sit right with you for a local-first app, the lifetime plan removes it entirely: pay once, own it.

How do I pay?

In your browser, on the account page, through RevenueCat and Stripe. Stripe is the merchant of record and the seller on your receipt: the price shown excludes tax, and Stripe calculates, collects, and remits whatever tax applies to your location. The desktop app never asks for or stores payment details.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 14 days of purchase, tax included. The refund policy says how to ask.
